Why is it so hard for me to remember or even believe that this quote is true?! I find myself over and over again sobbing in the arms of this man, saying that I’m not a good mom, or I need to be more patient, or I’m not putting enough time in with the family, or I’m spending too much time on social media, or why can’t I bake a stinking loaf of bread to save my life!! Ha.
He reminded me again last night as he held me that who I am cannot be compared to other moms, other friends, other social media followers, but can only be compared to ME. Only me. How am I compared to how I was 5 years ago, 2 years ago, 2 weeks ago. No, I’m not perfect, nor do I ever profess to be, but I DO know that I have a Father in Heaven who has a perfect and infinite love for me. I know that He believes in me. I know that although I feel like I’m not doing the best I can do He believes in what I’m doing and gives me the power to improve.
So if you ever feel like you’re not “up to par” with the rest of the world just remember this, you ARE amazing! You are changing the world…your world. Just keep going. Just be you.
